Due to people canceling at the very last minute and whatnot, from this point on, I will need you to send your deposit in order to save your session time. You can do this by mailing it to me or paying via paypal. It's not fair to send the little man to daycare because I think I have a session, and then that person not show up. It's not fair to him or me and it's wasting my time and daycare fees that I wouldn't have normally had. The deposit for all sessions, unless otherwise stated, is $50.00 and this comes off your total due.

A Piece of My Life

I thought I would share a moment from my life today. A little history first. All my life my daddy has been my hero. He's always been there for me, he's always done everything he could to make my life better. I've always been daddy's little girl. I remember riding in the truck with him, standing in the seat next to him (back when you could do that). I also remember him being a very hard person, someone, I think, couldn't show love. Maybe because he didn't know how, maybe he was afraid to, I don't know. He's always been someone that not everyone understands. I pride myself in thinking that I know him and how he thinks, just a little bit better than most. He had heart surgery last year, and since then he's not been 100%. Most days other people can't even completely understand what he's trying to say, he can't always get the right words out. But today, and in the last few days, I've seen a very different side of my daddy.He is in the midst of losing his mother. Something, I know first hand is not an easy task. He is, four years later, just now grieving for my mother and he's still not over the death of his father or his very close brother. It's all took it's toll on him. But today, I saw a man who was so full of love, a man who was hurting, a man who needed the comfort of his mother. And this is the photo that I captured of that moment. It is now, I think one of my very favorite photos. Thank you all for your prayers this week, my family needs them as we are still trying to comprehend what the future without one of two most beautiful women I have ever known. A woman so full of faith in God and His Will that thru all of her trials in life she has never once waivered. A woman I want to mold myself to be, but know that there will never be another like. I pray that she doesn't struggle much longer and that she's able to tell my mother hello for me very soon and that we'll all be with them someday soon.Here is this very small piece of my life today:

Daddy and Me Sessions

I've set the Daddy and Me sessions for Saturday, June 6th at Bevill State in Jasper. The Mommy and Me sessions turned out very good there. I did this last year for a young lady running for Homecoming Queen and she WON!?!? Yay!
But this is how it works:
You and I both advertise for a mini session. We get together and decide on a price and location. The mini session usually consists of about a 30 min session and 30 or so images edited and put on a disk with a print release. For every session we do, you get half of all the proceeds. We had a blast last year doing it. Thanks to Brittney T. for giving me the idea!

I thought I'd share a few recent shoots with you. Gorgeous kids, even if one of them is my own. :) If you're interested in a Mommy and Me shoot in May. I'll be doing them May 10th and May 23rd. It will be for the same Easter special, which is $75.00 for a 30-45 minute shoot and you'll receive 50-75 or more edited images on a CD with print release. Emma and Mimzy will also be there. March Mini Session
Bunny- 30 min Bunny Sessions in your Easter best/includes session fee, CD w/ print release with up to 30-50 photos (color, b/w, etc.) $75.00
These will be one weekend in March, I will announce the date closer to time. I am still trying to decide on a location for this, so I will keep you posted. If you are interested in this and you want to make sure you will have a spot, go ahead and let me know and we will set the time later.

Tea Party- 30 min Tea party session with the works, tea, tea set, big hats, gloves, pearls, sunglasses, the works! please wear your Sunday best and your welcome to bring your own props but there will be plenty supplied. Includes up to 30 images on a CD with print release, one 8x10 print and 8 wallets. The fee for this will be $50.00/ $20.00 for each additional child (this means some photos together and some separate and more photos on the CD.) These will take place closer to the end of the month, I will let you know the exact date closer to time. These will be taken at a house close to the studio, it has a pretty brick wall with green ivy falling down it, perfect place for a tea party.

April Mini Session
Fishing- 30 min session by an old fashioned pond with fishing pole, tackle box, hat, great for little boys. I would suggest wearing overalls with or without a shirt, jeans (rolled up) with or without a shirt, but if you are wearing a shirt make sure its solid in color. Includes 30 images on a CD with print release, one 8x10 print and 8 wallets. Price for this is $50.00/$20.00 for each additional child (this means some photos together and some separate and more photos on the CD) These will be taken here in my own backyard, well side yard actually.

You guys don't know how much fun I have creating memories for people and meeting new people. So, I've decided to have a special this month just for that.

This Christmas Season is going by so fast! If you would like pictures made and want the PRINTS back by Christmas, make sure you book your session by Dec. 8! If you know in advance that you will be purchasing the CD please let me know and make sure you book your session NO LATER than Dec. 13 to make sure you receive your CD before Christmas! If you only want your proofs back by Christmas make sure you book your session by Dec. 13! I won't be shooting ANY sessions on November 26, 27, and 28th! From Dec. 21 to Jan. 2 I will only be taking newborn sessions. I will start again with new products and other new things on Jan. 3! I look forward to working with you!!

Yes, indeed. What a difference a nap makes. We got dressed for pictures right after their nap yesterday and this is what we got this time around. Amazing huh? My little man did especially good for me and I just love the tin barn background. This is at my grandmother's house and she couldn't believe it turned out so well. You never can tell, anything can make a great background!

I set aside Sunday to do the kids Easter pictures because David would be home to go with me and the bunnies. But we forgot it was the Sunday for the time change so we woke up late and the kids were tired because even though we were up late for them it seemed like they were up early. So by the time we got to the park they were both tired and it was cold. So here's what we got, we're going to try some more today so we'll see.
